Wooden Boat Tour
Experience the beauty and adventure of Battambang River on our Sunset Boat Tour, especially stunning during the golden hour of sunset. The tour starts and finishes at Wat Slor Kram, a beautiful Buddhist temple just outside Battambang. Board a traditional wooden fishing boat, guided by a local captain who knows the river like the back of his hand. The tour lasts about one hour and offers a unique perspective of life along the river.
Along the way, you’ll encounter stunning wildlife—birds, bats, fish, and vibrant riverbank plants and trees. Watch local people catch fish, tend their crops, and enjoy glimpses of children playing in the water and waving as you pass.
By choosing this tour, you support the local community and help preserve Battambang’s cultural heritage through the use of traditional wooden boats from the nearby fishing village.
Please note: transportation from Wat Slor Kram back to your hotel is not included. You can come on your own, let us arrange pick-up and drop-off from your hotel (driver will wait at Wat Slor Kram), or we can help you book PassApp—the cheapest option. Local fares can be paid directly to the tuk-tuk driver or to us.
